Marvel Rivals’ present is assured, but not its future.

I found the characters very clunky feeling when moving around. Like they made all their character models huge but that meant they needed to slow down their movement speed. Which doesn’t feel very good. And time between attacks on many characters is very long. All combined the whole thing feels sluggish and unresponsive compared to other similar titles.

As a marvel fan I was excited when I hear about this game, but I don’t think I’ll be picking it up again.

That’s largely the feeling I got as well. Besides that the UI feels cluttered and the characters feel very much like clones of other ability-shooters. The game does look gorgeous and runs well but at this point it just feels generic and like it needs to mature a good amount

I’m enjoying the game. Since it’s early, tons of people don’t know what they’re doing and you get to see all the characters in action, but I imagine it will quickly wind down to the same 10 once the meta is established. I’ve encountered zero negative/judgy/toxic players, which is refreshing. The art is fun, and some characters are genuinely fun to play. It’s pretty awesome for a free game.

I hope it stays on long enough for me to play it

Edit: played a bit, it’s a crash fest. So far:

    • Crashes 100% of the time on the EULA screen, you need to click accept the moment it shows up.
    • Crashes 50% on the intro logos
    • Crashed a couple times on hero select screen before a match
    • Crashed kwin while in a match
