You can edit system files with layering, but it’s not as straightforward
The basic of immutable desktops is that every system file (what’s outside your home directory (folder) ) is readonly, you can install apps through the app store.
But I’d say Linux mint (a Non-immutable) distro is what you should try first, because it’s more user-friendly and easier to get help for.
Ah nvm then, idk either
I think the second format also allows for specifying the timestamp, so you can link to a certain point in the video
This isn’t about just Spotify, it’s about other apps too
Ok yes it is proprietary, but at least it’s from the main source and is confirmed to work well, which reduces risk, at the cost of sandboxing.
it’s a tradeoff, and I think mint did the right thing.
Oh, alright i was wrong, but it’s still direct from Spotify isn’t it? So no problem
The difference is that those apps are taken charge of by the mint team
Why are you trying to install arch, it is not a noob-friendly distro
You can selfhist Firefox sync and set it to only sync bookmarks
You can selfhost Firefox sync
Note: much of the benefits and downsides of gtk4 you mentioned are actually libadwaitas up and downsides.
Yeah actually, you can use bazzite
Edit: if you really want the same experience as on the steam deck
Schildi chat is a reskinned version of element, so if you don’t like the look of element you can use schildichat
If systemd is as bad as you claim why did nearly every distro switch to it?
