Just bewilderment. Because snubbing Harris will get you Trump. Who’s a great friend to Gaza /s. So cui bono?
Recovering academic now in public safety. You’ll find me kibitzing on brains (my academic expertise) to critical infrastructure and resilience (current worklife). Also hockey, games, music just because.

да, брат! продолжай в том же духе!
молодец, товарищ! демократы будут сбиты с толку твоей умной метафорой!
I went with Ryobi under the rubric of “if you use it enough to break it then buy a good one”. I have a wall of green tools because most of them are used only occasionally. My hammer drill is the one that is gonna go. And yeah. I will buy something f’in awesome. Because using an underpowered hammer drill sucked.
Be prepared for endless mockery no matter which direction you go. Best of luck sir.
Because their continued employment depends on them hitting their targets so they need support staff to do their jobs.
I was married to a lawyer for years. They have to bill somewhere from 1700-2200 hours a year to stay on partner track. And they can’t bill every hour that they’re working (although they can double up sometimes by using the minimum 2/10ths of an hour). My sympathy is with the lawyer. It’s not a power dynamic, it’s how the firm makes money and what you’re there to do.
There are layers of variability there that can’t be captured with a line plot. The data density is too high to even capture the decanal progression in a useful way, forget about monthly and annual variability . So no.
This is a really interesting visualization. I love the density of the data and the way it captures the year over year variability by month while allowing the annual variability to plainly stand out. This is really good.
The article says “fully restored” which is dramatically different than “win”. Of course Ukraine will be different after the war. I suspect you may be deliberately mischaracterizing the article to lobby against intervention.
There’s an old joke about how long it takes to prepare a talk in academia. Want an hour? I can do it right now. 30 minute presentation? I’ll need a few weeks. 10 minute presentation? Better give me one or two month lead time.
God’s honest truth. 5 minutes of reading content gets stretched into 30 minutes of &$#@ video.
Desert wasn’t really a cyberpunk setting until BR 2049. Post-apocolyptic sure, MadMax had that stitched up in 1979, but not cyberpunk.
