Also an excellent way to end conversation about a controversial topic when needed.
Deleted mine two years ago.
Kinda surprised it took everyone this long, TBH.
There aren’t any ads on Mastodon. :)
I think this is the crowd that tried Mastodon and then abandoned it when they realized it required a modicum of effort.
“EDumper” is a great name for a dump truck.
My older brother is a Tony Award winning producer and I took a trip to NYC ten years ago. His business partner is a former schoolteacher who became friends with a celebrity and got rich producing her stage plays.
Before going to NYC, I called them up and told them “Hey, I’m going to go see the Yankees while I’m there. There are $15 tickets in the outfield. Wanna go?” It was Jeter’s last year and I wanted to see him play live at Yankee Stadium. Their response was “Don’t worry, we’ll handle it.”
Handling it meant lunch at the stadium club, with Peyton Manning and a bunch of celebrities in the dining room and lobster piled higher than my head, literally. The most luxurious lunch I’ve had in my life. Then we rode the escalator down to our seats, through a tunnel lined with every free candy you can think of on both sides, to the second row behind the Yankee dugout, with our own dedicated server, who kept bringing us wonderful drinks. (TEN FEET AWAY FROM DEREK JETER) Then, in the third inning, another surprise: someone taps me on my shoulder holding one of the bases from batting practice, which my brother’s business partner purchased and had framed for me with my ticket and a photo.
That was too overwhelming. I couldn’t help but cry.
We went for another meal in the 7th inning. The food was still fresh and amazing.
The Yankees lost that day, but it’s okay.
I call it my ‘Make a Wish’ Day.
It was a fun find, and I love the variety. Some of the sites are dumb fun. Some are games and puzzles. Others are just something completely different.
Yeah, people have believed in dumb shit like that since our species emerged from the primordial ooze.
This world isn’t going to die.
It’s just going to change.
Our species might though.
Only in a perfect world.
It puzzles me why leftist parties don’t all embrace lower taxes for the middle class.
Functionally, we don’t have one. The closest is the Green Party, but they’re so powerless that they may as well not exist.
We can, but it requires not having billionaires.
I’ll admit I could be wrong, but I remember there being a ton of writing on this since Trump won the presidency AND Congress, which wasn’t really expected at the time.
LOL
Where have you been the last 44 years?
If there’s an asshole in a protected category that the Democratic Party can find and utilize to their benefit, you can bet they’ll find 'em.
Are you sure contributions don’t transfer?
Wasn’t the whole Clinton Victory Fund controversy about the Clintons seizing contributions to benefit their campaign from lesser tickets?
snort
That was a good laugh.
You don’t. That’s what the homeless people are for.
But, it’s not impossible to move up. When oil crashed in March 2020, several companies’ stock, which you can purchase on Robin Hood or any app-based exchange, were down to pennies. Those shares are now trading for $15-$25 dollars, so even if you bought a small amount, you made a tidy profit. It’s how I paid off my student loans.
Trump, in his largesse and incompetence, is likely to inadvertently cause a market crash somewhere in the next four years, so I’d encourage you to save at least a few bucks if you can from each check against the possibility of being able to buy stock super-cheap in the wake of a crash. If you have the patience to hold your stock for a year or two, it’s rewarding.
