Hope everyone in the US enjoys a 25% mark up on paper, lumber, water, oil and gas, uranium… pretty sure there’s more stuff coming down from Canada, but that’s top of my head.

They’re still perfectly functional. As long as you’re happy not having ray tracing, and are willing to settle for not running everything on max gfx, there’s no reason to buy a 50, 40 or 30 series. I’m able to play most new games that interest me on medium gfx with no issues.

I’m still rocking my 1080ti and I paid $140 CAD when the 20 series dropped.

Currently I still find it too much of a hastle to correctly run Winblows applications, almost always relying on Lutris, Steams proton or Bottles to do the work for me.

That’s…uhhh… that’s why they were made? So that your average Joe Schmoe, like myself and you, doesn’t have to muddle through trying to get wine set exactly right so that the windows program functions. It sounds like you’re complaining about the solution to the problem.
I guess there could be work done to just make it so if you double click on a .exe install file in just boots whatever has the best install preset, or give you a pop up with options for lutris/proton/bottles.

Don’t forget, 13 years on and multiple (re-)releases on various platforms, and there’s still bugs that are only fixed by mods.

I drive 130-160km(depending what route I take) a day getting to and from work 5 days a week. It’s about 2hrs driving time daily. £70 of fuel a week roughly. The fact that these people are spending probably just as much time, and magnitudes more money to go the same distance… seems like an angry mob and a BBQ could solve this problem…

It’s really unfair. The older we get, the faster time seems to pass, and the less we have to spare. If we’re lucky, maybe we can get 15 or 20 years at the end to enjoy our labour…most of us will be too banged up from the grind to enjoy it.
