Until there is literally a smoking gun, I have no serious reason to believe that Carter is anything less than a man who has done his best to be good. He was also a human being, and I’m sure people can dig up a bad interaction if they look hard enough. Still, it doesn’t invalidate his lifetime of attempts at making a positive impact on the world.

That’s only a brief list too. We probably don’t know the full extent of his crimes, and more keeps getting revealed. 10 minutes of googling the news about him is going to blow your mind.
He systematically used the power and influence of the presidency to project falsehoods, encourage division and violence, and potentially feed classified information illegally to foreign governments for his own personal gain.
He is currently on trial for bribing people to stay silent about his affairs during the 2016 election. He was previously found to have illegally taken classified documents back to his home in Florida and kept them after he was president, potentially to sell information. His son in law was given a career in the White House with no prior experience, and there is a huge paper trail to suggest that he got paid 2 billion by foreign governments for representing their interests during that time.
He’s like a corruption buffet, and he has openly stated he will retaliate against everyone he considers an enemy if he wins again.

Since BOINC is on your list, I want to ask—is there a version of it that will display the cool screensavers via web UI? I would run BOINC 24/7 if I could show off those cool data processing screens, but there is no use for a screensaver on my server.
Potentially unpopular opinion: the mistake was making a comment on Israel in the first place. Apple makes computers and phones. They don’t need to comment on every world crisis.
I worked in their stores for a while. They have had a rule for at least a decade that no personal branding or clothing can stick out beyond the work shirt. Any pins or displays of solidarity for any group would have already been breaking the long established dress code.
The situation in Palestine is horrible, but Apple isn’t going to be able to do anything about it.
Stick with it! I was intimidated by Linux at first and barely learned anything the first year because I was afraid to tinker.
Learn how to make a backup and do a restore (timeshift is a good option), and then tinker with abandon. The terminal is your friend. Experience is the best teacher.

Netflix has been advertising content in 4k and then streaming it at a lower resolution.
Likewise, the advertising for 5g leads you to believe that it is somehow vastly improved from the previous generation when no guarantee of that exists.
But most importantly, all of this is stemming from a one line joke—it was never a serious comment on 5g or 4k definitions. I’m surprised that you took it that way.
The g’s in cellular data have long been devoid of any real meaning, and they keep coming out with more g’s that have essentially no improvements.
Much like how Netflix advertises 4k when the quality is no better than 1080p at best.
The dark seed of the force is a pathway to many resolutions that some might consider…unnatural.
