This isn’t exactly an answer, but ReNamer is a free tool that allows you to name batches of files. It’s a pretty versatile tool that lets you do multiple things to the filename of different media types.
This is why I name literally everything I save according to words I would use to search it.
Creating original content is more arduous than I imagined. Reposts do better and are less emotionally involved.
Thundercat is a master at the base who really opened my eyes to their unappreciated percussive role in music.
There are ideas that don’t deserve a platform (like literal Nazis) and then there are ideas that are not allowed on here because disagreement itself unacceptable. To give a non-politial example, imagine someone who made a post explaining why they like Windows better than Linux. That’s one out of many opinions that are simply not allowed on here.
Lemmy is an echo chamber too. Pro-Linux, anti-Google, pro-Socialism, anti-conservative. I’m still here because I happen to agree with the echo chamber, but let’s not pretend that a diversity of ideas are allowed equal say on this platform.
Also let’s not forget that Reddit has duration as an advantage. I can look back 10 years on a tv show that is no longer airing and there will still be discussion threads from when it came out. That’s literally impossible to manufacture overnight, so Reddit has a huge edge.
