They also don’t want to upset people who prefer the K-9 branding among other things.

There are going to be two clients for an unspecified period of time. Same code base, different branding. It’s not possible to take an existing app released through the app stores and rebrand it. The new Thunderbird app will have import tools to help folks transition.
Webmail, Outlook or Mac Mail.
Derivative of Gentoo by the founder of Gentoo.
I’m curious, how does snoozing help? First I’ve heard of the concept so I’m wondering if I’m missing out.
I found this addon for Thunderbird. Not sure if it’s the kind of thing that will help.
Interesting projects I haven’t heard of.
Set and freeze prices on basic staples?
Which is free for up to five systems if you want to see it in action.
Now we know where they got the idea from for the latest film.
I think the major hurdle is that they can’t just rebrand the existing app, they have to release a new one. Keeping the K-9 app around will help the user transition long term. The folks in this thread follow Thunderbird and Thunderbird for Android development but my guess is the majority of K-9 users don’t. At some point when or if K-9 installs drop they will probably revisit the issue.

Nothing yet. It’s a draft and the first one at that. It’s not meant to be used for anything. It could be some time before anything comes of this, if anything does come of it.
I’m looking for a well paying job with good conditions.
I heard they gonna throw a curveball and use Portage and it’s new binary repo /s.
Double thanks.
You can get Gentoo up and running pretty quickly by following the handbook. From memory it’s easy to miss one or two clear instructions because the styling of the handbook can add more eye-catching weight to the explanation than the actual commands. So be sure to re-read areas where things don’t seem to working out.
Gentoo also has a binary repo if you don’t plan to stray from whatever installation profile defaults you start off with.
I can’t confirm a simple server install of Gentoo is somehow more lean than any other distribution.
I’ve used gentoo-install with success previously although I don’t know how up to date it is.
