This is why im in the field im in. My labor goes directly to people who need it. Its still a scam and im still taken advantage of monetarialy but I come into work and do things directly for people who need them.
" The excess funds initially allocated for the purchase will be reinvested into our philanthropic efforts that include business school scholarships for promising cult leaders, a charity that donates elections to at-risk third world dictators, and a new pro bono program pairing orphans with stable factory jobs at no cost to the factories."
This article is great top to bottom but ‘at-risk dictators’ made me cackle
I hope they do what the Colbert Report did, keep the inforwars name and let it be a right wing lampooning.
Anger is a form of attention and apathy is the lack of attention. If you imagine the voters who didnt turn out to be more mad than apathetic, you’re not gonna reach them next time either.
Every time the price spikes I get the feeling its large holders cashing out while they can and the liquid from newcomers is available. Which would make it mostly a scam, kinda like the stock market but even more shallow somehow, as if the stock market wasn’t unrelated enough to actual production and very esoteric.
Did Newsom take a rightward lean once he started getting groomed for a president run or has he always been this bad? I feel like every time I hear about him nationally hes doing something scummy like that or rounding up homeless people.
Wild, thanks for the input, think im gonna try and read a little more about this and other rcv initiatives. Would love to be able to understand how they pass and fail in case my state decides to put it on the ballot in the future.
Was it too confusing or did someone spend a lot of money playing ads that kept saying it was too confusing I wonder. I’d actually love to hear what the local ads and media around that ballot measure were like if anyone is local to Oregon.
This article is literally why. Political outsider with popular policies won, do you know how much money a voting system that does this will cost the people writing those laws?
First Ranked Choice vote.
Elect Progressive.
Other politicians: ‘Okay that’s enough RCV for America’
I see interests colliding in the future and I’m curious to how it plays out. Mexico is clearly going to be much less diplomatically available for Trump, so long as he keep his same rhetoric and plans going. This significantly lowers the leverage US auto makers have in lobbying Uncle Sam to use diplomacy to keep Chinese EV plants out of Mexico. Trump certainly seems to be driving Mexico toward China, and his economic moves in his first term drove China to Mexico, these bridges are already built, many of the Chinese goods that he kept out of the US simply went south.
They don’t even put the answer in the title, this is peak irresponsible journalism.
They’re complicit and they know it. Its better for profits this way.
Despite the US constant vilification of China, they seek to have just as much control and surveillance over you. The ruling class would LOVE if they could control a population the way Beijing does. We already live in a surveillance state. We can adress it or let it get worse but both parties allow and encourage these policies.
Respect existence or expect resistance.
My first thought was if they’re asking for this officially, they’ve piloted some version of it unofficially.
Libs are seething at this absolute correct take. If you’re pro free market, you’re a liberal and thats as ‘left’ as you’ll ever be.
I feel like the dirty little secret at the core of the whole of that advertising industry is that it’s actually really hard to justify spending the amount of money on it that people currently do. Beyone when products are white washing their own downsides, is spending more money on marketers even productive by capitals standards? They chase these data driven privacy monstrosities the same way websites chase clicks becase they can be used as a meteic to show advertisers ‘"engagement’" but how much of this whole song and dance is doing anything anymore? I feel like the advertising industry only survives the way it does today because it asserts itself as important but it hardly productive.
If you live in a legal state the rainbow sometimes goes to a dispensary.
