The biggest hurdle with getting widespread adoption of any scientific breakthrough is cost. If something is not more profitable than the current way of doing things it will not be adopted. Destroying our planet is pretty damn profitable, so until we exterminate capitalism I don’t see anything changing.

You say that as if you think that’s not the case.

They’re centrists, scared centrists, who recognize that political in-fighting can result in a split vote letting the party with less votes take the election. However in addition to being humongous pricks about it (helping the in-fighting), they fail to recognize two very obvious facts:

1. Progressives don’t have a candidate. In any party. You can’t split the vote if there’s no other option to split the vote with.
2. The popular vote doesn’t matter. Hasn’t mattered since the Republican party stole the election in 2000 (if it ever mattered in the first place). There’s somewhere between 3-6 states where the popular vote, if you trust it to be recorded and reported accurately, can swing the election one way or another. In the other 44 states, the popular vote does. Not. Matter.

Hunting and gathering, mostly. When the superpowers are capitalists, everyone is capitalist. Anyone who thinks China isn’t capitalist hasn’t bought anything off Amazon in the last decade.

It should be of little surprise (and much more widespread knowledge) that just about everyone with money in the 1930s financially supported the actual Nazi party, including but not limited to Henry Ford and George W Bush’s grandfather.

The latter. Every time I have to job hunt, it’s mentally exhausting from how frustrating it is. I have over 90 logins to various job sites and that isn’t counting the ones using Google login or the ones I just let my browser save and I never copied to my password library.

If I ever have to job hunt again I’m printing out paper resumes and hitting the pavement like it’s 1980 again.
