Better than the original Mechwarrior 5? I’ve heard some pretty bad things about that one that have kept me from getting it…

It was kind of a bad move to not release it day one on mobile. If anything this game was made for mobile, it’s the perfect 5 minute waster.

Pains me to no end that the only somewhat decent local RSS reader available for desktop nowadays is Thunderbird. All I want is a simple, no-frills attached local RSS reader that doesn’t make me run a whole server service just to fetch a feed.

Holy shit, this looks really good. I never finished CrossCode, but from what I played it was also really good, and this looks even better!

Thunder is by far the best FOSS app for lemmy, it’s like a lite Sync without all the ads bullshit.

It’s faster, lightweight and runs on your terminal.

I’m surprised there aren’t more FOSS touhou games, Zun himself is very open to the idea of derivative works, including paid ones.

I mean, this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone considering they’ve been doing the whole paid mod thing for a good while now with Skyrim and FO4.

You and I have very different concepts of small.

It’s not that the PS5 is doing bad (it isn’t), it’s that they want more money, simple as that. They saw what Microsoft was doing and they decided they wanted a piece of the pie too.

Starfield was so forgettable even Bethesda already forgot about it.

I don’t think they’re that dumb, I can see them making their own launcher with PS+ sub to get free games or something like gamepass, but locking online play behind a paywall on PC sounds too braindead even for them, it’d be an even worse PR suicide attempt than Epic’s exclusivity shenanigans.

Except for Nintendo, they’re still just doing what they’ve been doing for the last 20 years, releasing consoles with outdated hardware and relying on gimmicks to sell them, at this point they’re not even trying to compete anymore, Valve is a stronger competitor for Microsoft and Sony than Nintendo nowadays.

Wow, they’re really burning down all of that good will, huh? It’s like a car crash, you can’t help but to keep looking at it.

I dream of one day Nintendo going bankrupt and being forced to sell their IPs to the highest bidder.

The game has like four major maps, that’s why it feels tiny compared to your average CRPG that has dozens of smaller maps to create a sense of a big diverse world.

Honestly I doubt this is going to change how games are made, I’ve seen this one opinion floating around that if this thing goes forward only the wording on the marketing will change and knowing these companies I agree. Products will become services, ownership to leasing, buying to subscribing and so on.

That is some q u a l i t y textbook right there.

That’s insulting to Carmarck considering how intelligent and talented the man is. Sweeney is a mediocre programmer and a hack businessman at best.
