Might be an unpopular take but… maybe being good at high school math tests is not really such an important gift in the real world.

What will keep you safe is not selling your business to a mega corp.
Was I a good processor?
No one ever mentions the MSX. Best of the 8 bit generation as far as I’m concerned, scrolling purists be damned.
As opposed to the right which is extremely adept at sending its own people to the poorhouse in order to slave for the super wealthy. But hey the economy is flying!
The trouble with our left is that they are incredibly ineffective and increasingly have no idea how to promote their ideas to the population. We’re lucky to have a fairly strong socialist political heritage to live off of but it’s dwindling quickly and the current left has not been able in the least to gain new political capital.
In the last elections in my country the key issue was considered to be living wages, in light of the extreme inflation as a result of the Ukraine war. This is supposed to be the left’s wheelhouse. The previous center-right government made a huge mess of things, ended their run with a few major scandals right before the election. This should have been slam dunk for the left.
But they made no concrete statements about anything, presented no clear party program, just some generic polite and well-meaning “we should take care of everyone and oh yes racism is bad” They got absolutely hammered by a coalition of center-right and extreme-right.
The big problem is that one usually leads to the other. Saying politically unpopular things in a way those governments perceive as threatening often leads to more than just administrative fines.
Shareholders: you doubled your profit last year, so I expect you to do it again this year.
I’d like to see those little city cars added here, those little two seaters that don’t go more than 45kph. Could be a good compromise for lots of people with limited mobility
Sure but that doesn’t answer the question. Maybe if there were a broad call from their other trading partners to take a moral stance but China is well known for not taking political stances they don’t directly benefit from. Again scoring some easy political points against the US is great but I don’t see them making any serious move here unless it somehow serves their interests (which is a perfectly rational stance to take, it’s not a criticism.)
You have any source on this? It’s one thing for the CCP to use this situation to make the US look bad but do they actually have any incentive to materially support Palestine? Seems unlikely they’d hurt their own trade over this.
Man seeing those graphs, all I can say is thank god for women.
Pretty sure excessive phone use leads to this kind of doomerism so might not be a bad idea to force kids to touch some grass.
“Lol” is always such a strong argument. Really shows that your point is to be taken seriously.
If you think that the rule of law in dictatorships is really no worse than that of a democratic country (even one that’s currently in bad shape) I think you’re delusional honestly.
We have a lot of problems with our legal systems but we don’t have gulags where we send political opponents to disappear. We don’t have government edicts telling our journalists what they are allowed to talk about.
When your own country does bad things it’s easy to look at other counties with rise tinted glasses. 國外的月亮比較圓
The US has a ton of problems, I’m not saying it’s a great country to live in necessarily (I wouldn’t move there given the choice). But it’s not a dictatorship where laws are optional for the government.
Maybe freedom doesn’t mean anything to you when you’re not the one being reeducated though.
The organs I don’t know about but the reeducation camps are not exactly secret, both for Uyghurs and their own people. There are many issues the US has but at least the average citizen doesn’t have their government disappearing them for thinking the wrong thoughts.
It might not work eh? Might it though? I hate this kind of weasel headline almost as much as the constant “slamming”. Just say what you’re going to say.
