  • Depressed.

I haven’t gone on walks for a bit because I just cannot stand seeing those fucking signs. My mom and grandma are in a tizzy, and my mom is just as forlorn. She doesn’t even want to vote anymore.

And I’m so, so, so angry. I’m not saying Harris would be the second coming, but that anyone would pick a fascist over anyone is infuriating. The area I live in is not bougie, these signs were sometimes outside houses that have seen better days. And they doomed us all for at least the next four years. I’m so distrustful of my neighbors not that we were close to begin with. I want to ask them why, I want to scream at them, I want to question them.

I feel helpless. All my life I believed that there was some thread of decency that connected us, a thread of common sense. But there’s none. And that’s really upsetting.

  • They can be hard. I’ve tried Bloodborne, Elden Ring, and Sekiro. I got the furthest in Sekiro and kind of got the draw because, man, the high when you finished a boss. But the struggle, from my understanding, is part of the gameplay itself, part of the experience. It was too unforgiving for me. While I was happy finishing a boss, I didn’t go into the next one excited for the challenge, I was dreading the upcoming hours of banging my head against the wall, so I just decided it wasn’t for me. That part of the game play just wasn’t appealing to me, doesn’t mean it’s bad of course.

I say give it a try! They always have Bloodborne on sale, nothing wrong with trying and deciding it’s not for you, and it’ll be awesome of it is!

  • SK is wild right now. Women are taking part in the 4B movement (no dating, sex, childbirth, or marriage. The Korean words start with “B”). There was a online feminist group that got people so heated they thought they were sneaking hand signals into “male” media and they were getting people fired. If certain characters didn’t come out with risqué enough clothing, male netizens would blame some secret feminist in the company. Women are assaulted if they’re confused for a feminist due to just their hairstyle. A book (“Kim Jiyoung 1989” I think) that is, like, baby’s first feminist literature, can have your spouse leave you. Men say you can’t date a woman whose read it. All the book is about is the subtle sexism women face. They have an epidemic of “molka,” which are secret cameras in women’s bathrooms among other places. Women tell each other to bring nail polish to paint over the screws to protect themselves. Their new president is looking to abolish the gender equality ministry and blames feminism for the low birth rate.

TL;DR: Yeah, it’s pretty bad over there right now.

Edit: Here’s a two part video that goes over this surprisingly well for being about gacha games. Part 1 and Part 2.

  • I wonder why women don’t normally take those kinds of jobs. Could it be that men have often made these kinds of jobs a “boys club,” forcing women to constantly prove themselves and deal with harassment so they feel unwelcomed? I mean, it couldn’t be that, even after women were allowed to do these jobs, they faced an uphill battle getting in, let alone being taken seriously. I mean, damn those women for not enlisting until it was legal (even though many women worked as spies, nurses, and even disguised themselves to fight, but whatever. ).

Hear that women, we’re having fun. We’re just looking for comforts such as * reads notes * bodily autonomy and the privilege of, let’s see, ah yes, the privilege to talk about what issues we may be facing and to truly be seen as equal and not just “beta men.” Male political issues are well and good though. That’s not on the list, thank goodness🫂
